You can see rows of yellow rotted teeth with a smell so pungent that makes your empty stomach churn. You feel the sweat drench your heated skin, the throbbing of your own eyes, the ringing screams vibrating in your ears, and the thumping of your heart against your chest.
Your companion throws the monster a murderous glare filled with violent promises, for a second their black eyes turn red, shining like two pools of infernal crimson, but you both know they can't do anything to stop whatever is about to happen. They exists only in your head.
The devil doesn't waste any more time, he strides in your direction, each step sending shockwaves of dread across your trembling body. On his way, he passes right through your taller imaginary friend, that disappears in a puff of red smoke.
You feel rough hands close around your neck as you close your eyes and scream—
