Guest Ailments Sneak Peek
Added 2021-05-10 12:31:50 +0000 UTCAs part of the Apothecaria Kickstarter stretch goals, I asked the rest of the Rainy Day Games Collective to put together an A6 postcard of ailments and reagents and while they still need some editing and layout is still a work in progress, I thought you lot might like to see the sort of weird ideas they've come up with.
As the reagents and ailments in Apothecaria are trying to capture the feeling of leafing through dusty tomes, these postcards are presented as entries the old witch has copied from excerpts of other books.
Jack Harrison (Artefact, Orbital) has put together a selection of bog themed ailments and reagents that really capture the fairy tale feel of Apothecaria. From regurgitating an entire river to being turned into a kitten, the poor soul who finds themselves struck by one of Jack's ailments will have to hope they've a competent witch to save them.
Matt Sanders (Sealed Library, Have You Heard About The Beast?) presents a more eclectic selection that covers everything from a common shepherd affliction to something that affects 90% of UK politicians.
The other side of the postcards have their reagents - the things you have to go out and collect to make your potions - and they have come up with some awesome things that I can't wait to share with you.
