Looking for Cases!

Hello! Bailiff Jake here to inform you that the Supreme Crit is convening imminently. Please submit your brief (I beg!) grievance and/or table top drama on this thread and we will bring you sweet justice!

To the venerable and lustrous supreme crit justices, as well as their meager and addle-pated bailiff. I present thee with the case of the NEWSIES Musical anniversary. Last week, my main D&D gaming group got together to celebrate our 3-year anniversary of the current campaign we are playing through. It is set in a magical variant of Earth and is a sequel to a previous campaign. For this anniversary session, our DM decided to set it in New York, where we would be infiltrating the headquarters of one of the BBEG's highest ranking lieutenants (a PC in the previous campaign). The issue arose in the party's deliberations of how exactly to infiltrate this base. As we were in New York, one of the fellow party members presented the idea of dressing up as the cast of Disney's musical the NEWSIES and put on a performance to be allowed inside. The party agreed to this, and the DM called for a group performance check, of which we ended up with a 30-average. We began to act it out, and ended up spending half an hour acting/singing up until page 12 of the 116-page script. During that time, the DM got quiet and ended the session right after that had concluded. We have not talked a lot since then and I fear we may have offended her. So, I ask this court: was the party in wrong? Should we have not taken the bit that far, and did we derail the DM's plans too much? I humbly await your verdict.
