Dungeon Court: Stolen Wish Spells

Comments

Devrix and chuffey sound like kiki and bouba thematically

Nick Lerche

It's a 1 AC difference. And moon is a mid sub between 4 and 18

Summer Tribe

Won't doesnt mean can't. It's legacy fluff that amounts to a single AC difference and the PHB also says that you can deviate from what's suggested there as flavor based options. also what you will or won't do is a character decision

Summer Tribe

the PBH literally says Druids won’t wear armour or use shields made of metal though 😩

I do not think Druids need more armor choices! Flavor as Bones sure but no mechanical bonus. Because holy crap Moon Druids are soo sturdy! Ac and hp of a wildshape, then another wildshape at a higher level, and then their own actual ac hp? Geeze!! They are so cool

Derrick Barrows

Oops, you guys got to that eventually lol

The other thing I like to keep in mind about strategizing away from the table mid-combat is that the characters are way more skilled at fighting than any of the players, and ostensibly they have spent more time together on the road than what is actively roleplayed out. So figuratively, the characters could have discussed possible battle strategies at other times anyway.

I'm just constantly begging people to play the characters not the alignments the alignment is characterization using it as anything else is limiting and boring

J Harkins

Remember that druids also have the barkskin spell. Makes your AC 16 no matter what armor you are wearing.

During the final case, they failed to take into account the “Puss in Boots” defense. He was a normal sized cat in human sized boots. The bear barbarian could have totally fit in the boots.

Amazing set of hearings, as always! I just wanted to say how fantastic Jeremy Cobb was as a guest. I wasn't familiar with him before these court sessions, but he was a gem!

It's so funny that you mentioned this; I've been listening to them for years and this past week, for the first time, I had three dreams where I met or was friends with some/all of the crew. So bizarre.

that's amazing! xD

on the topic of the naddpod crew being in people’s dreams, i cannot count the amount of times that i have met murph and emily while dreaming. One time I met them at a shopping mall and emily told me to look up this really cute animal. Then a few months later (in real life) on a patreon episode, jake presented a slideshow that a fan sent in of the animals at the place they worked at and one of them looked exactly like the animal emily told me to look up.

Yall being too mean about alignment

Casey Miles

why was emily so hung up on the phrasing of that one question? it seemed pretty obvious that they were being facetious with the “druids don’t like metal thing” and that they really meant “part of the druid’s class features is that they cannot wear metal armor”. meanwhile, for 5/6 of the case emily thought it was a matter of opinion. i guess the case was phrased weird but still

"It's a fairytale campaign so things get grim(grimm)" I don't know if Caldwell intentionally said it but was *chefs kiss*👌🏾

Love the druid question discussion. My druid multiclassed with cleric after we lost a party member in a battle and he was forced (because of action economy) to retreat while wild shaped as a war horse and carrying another party member. The lack of ability to heal effectively was the impetus to seeking a deity for that power, so my little commune Earth genasi sought the favor of Apollo and is now a level 5 druid/level 2 cleric. The WIS and hit die are the same so it meshes really well.

Columbus live show soon??😭

I haven't seen anyone comment to clarify yet, but Fairy Tail is an manga/anime that is what the last court case was based on. That's why the tabaxi was small, like Happy who is a talking cat in the series. At least that's what it sounded like, but I can't find the comment on the previous post.
