I've recently started a podcast myself, and am finding editing takes way too long (like 2 or 3 times as long as most people I've talked to) To avoid boring everyone, what are the main points you hit to turn raw audio into the finished thing? (Murph has said he does 3 passes in the past, what is the focus of each of those passes?) Oh lol I just read "recording today", I'll ask again next time! (and try and be on time next time)

I'm currently in a war of attrition with my roommate's cat over my graphing calculator I use for work. I think I should be able to use it freely whenever I want, and the cat (Goose) thinks she should be able to steal it and chew on the buttons whenever she wants. she seems to have a spidey sense for when i use it even when she's napping on her cat tower next to my desk and will meow at me until i stop touching it. Hi guys! My question is mainly for Murph but I'd love input from all of you. How do you get a coherent story without railroading? It Seems that every campaign I run, I feel like I railroad to have a story, because if I don't the players do whatever they want. They have different motivations, different goals, and they never seem to work with the story I make. (Or a prewritten one). I'd love your thoughts as I always feel like a terrible DM whenever I add a plot hook or something that wasn't there just to steer them back on course even when they don't seem to want it.

Question for Emily and Murph. I recently purchased a small farm in rural Minnesota! 10 wonderful acres. This past spring I noticed a stray/feral cat moved into my barn. I was delighted, and soon after moving in she had 3 kittens. This litter has be spayed and neutered and are in homes of their own. Recently momma cat welcomed a litter of 8 kittens. I was happy as she seemed to be doing well with the extra food I was providing her. However, she vanished about 2 weeks after having her latest kittens. We are lucky to have noticed her absence in time to saver her very young litter and our heart is heavy at the thought of what might of happened to her. I know you care for strays and do your best to help them. My question for you is how do you cope with losing them? I feel silly for being so heartbroken over losing an animal that wasn't my pet. But I still feel responsible for her. Any advice is appreciated.

Great news! Amazon has agreed to make a Bahumia animated series, and you guys get to make it! Caldwell is the art director, Emily does the music, etc. You even get to weigh in on casting decisions. However, you realize that the only way the show gets made is if you stop doing the podcast. You simply don't have time to do both. What do you do? Batch record a ton of content beforehand? Put the podcast on a year long hiatus? Pass on the animated show?

Honest opinion: Do you think that is okay for a mother to tell her daughter that she can't get married because she won't be there? I am struggling with actually speaking up for my sister in-law who wanted to elope with her fiancee.
