I'm from Idaho. I completely understand Emily when she said, "You know when your state is on fire?"

I cannot believe I’ve stumbled upon the origin episode of spoony

Omw! Caldwell was there before the anime hype 🤣🤣❤

Rose for the political Bongkenia family reference 🌹❤️

Henry running by and giving HenryJr the shooting advice as he ran by was a randomly incredibly emotional moment for me lol

k.allen

Did anyone else think "total eclipse of the fart" when Zirk was talking to his mom about the bell?

Kate W

You could say that door was... Lockednomore... Ok I'll show myself out.

Love to see Caldwell continuing his proud tradition of never coming up with a good plan, ever. (Zirk and his mum are so sweet though. I have entirely fallen for Stella and her hat game.)

Hannah Wilks

I absolutely agree. When he imposed disadvantage on himself, yeah. I was like… damn. That really would be how it is. It was sort of sad, but so so so real. I also don’t know if THIS is intentional by proxy, but I really like that Zirk’s character, although raised as a con artists son, it’s almost ironic that he keeps getting duped. And I think that the reason why he does, it almost seems like he really knows better than to trust anyone, but can’t help but WANT to. He knows his mother is not a great person but still wants to please her. It feels like he just wants someone to NOT be lying to him

Eldermourne is IN IT now

Those rich people are right. Government provided services giga-suck. USPS can't deliver anything on time or unbroken. And they lose money doing it. UPS is the goat.

Ben M

Caldwell strikes again!!!

Nye-Low

can i just say how much i love tab, hope they keep her around

What a rough time for hank this Father's day weekend

Caldwell choosing to roleplay so thoroughly where he needs to roll to join in on events or not is both a good character choice but also an incredibly dangerous game to play. Can't imagine Caldwell will enjoy the choice of a random die roll if it leads to the rest of the party getting wiped because they were down a member, you know? There is a balance between roleplaying and making sure the game remains both fun and winnable. If roleplay leads to a larger chance at death for your group, it might be worth it to re-evaluate your role playing choices for the sake of the party. I know that it didn't end up having a negative consequence in this instance but it's a very thin rope to be walking on. I'm sure they've had a discussion surrounding that kind of choice.

Matthew Steinmetz

I think Hank Jr's reaction makes a lot of sense actually. We don't know how much he knows/remembers from what was going on when his mom remarried, but even if he realizes Henry was quite literally removed from the house, it doesn't change the fact Henry hasn't tried to fight to be a part of his son's life back then or at any point during the last 10 years. And now that Hank has (probably for the first time since their family life changed) been acknowledged/given a purpose by his stepfather (even if a messed up one), Henry shows up out of nowhere, and his son doesn't know anything of Henry's troubles, struggles and regrets over the years; he just sees a guy who is apparently good at killing horrors and being so nonchalant and cool about stuff like "saving the world (and maybe hanging out if you'd like)" and just generally not doing that bad apparently. So yeah, it makes sense he's acting harsh and torn up about seeing his estranged father. Either way, I'm enjoying their reunion, just as well Zirk's scenes with Stella (which are great!), because they are such different flavors of "parent and child reconnecting", but both being less smooth and clear-cut, for different reasons.

I personally feel attacked on behalf of all non-naddpod crafting Californians.

Nick

I was looking to see if someone commented this! Man I loved those books.

Camila Neyra

Murph is being extremely harsh with Henry and his son. I genuinely don’t think hank jr wouldn’t understand that his father is being forced away from him by his uber rich stepdad

weird that this is the first time since the hexbloods fought thurston that an actual horror got hunted but solid ep!

H-Train

This episode was amazing! The music in this really elevated every scene!!!!

loved this ep!!! caldwell did so great as zirk and i’m so pumped for the next session!!!

morgan

Nailed it

Victoria Shotts

AHHHHHHHH! I was so waiting for Hank to say, honestly kid, I justed wanted to make sure you were safe. 🥺🥺🥺 Whatever he said, Hank Jr wouldn't believed him tho 😩

Victoria Shotts

I am not sure if this is intentional or not, but I absolutely love this portrayal of a toxic parent relationship between Stella and Zerk. Mostly because the emotional manipulation is sometimes much harder to recognize as abusive, so the fact that Caldwell is having himself roll to see if his character picks up on it and all the fallout that comes with that. Beautiful storytelling ❤️

BeeBoop

Unsure 26 episodes in ??

Lisquander

Total eclipse of the fart

Graham

What a bangin' 'sode!

Zurk saying “Henry” by accident is such a beautiful organic flub that made the entire scene !

Lisquander

Stella as played by Bill Burr?

Andrew

Thanks to this podcast, I can no longer say RANCH! normally. 😂

Bonky Fiasco

Hmm... Bells to raise and control the dead like Sabriel from Garth Nix... I love it.

Gurl Luigi

*SPOILERS* the fact that ranch is a more supportive presence in Henry’s son’s life than Henry is… just such a good story God

tacticalgrandma

Can we have a rerun of the sapphire play featuring bookvar and tiny spoon servant????? It would be the cutest thing ever

Nia R

Eldermourne really hitting its stride

Eagledink

Got confused looks from people on the sidewalk when I yelled RANCH right after you did when you introduced him again. Lol

Nathan Poulson

This dropped just in time for my lunch walk! I cackled, was deeply concerned, and generally had a brilliant time. Thank you so much team! (I'm assuming the people I scared by laughing without context as I wandered through the woods aren't as grateful...)

Noodyl

This is my favourite Eldermourne ‘sode so far. Props!

Brother Alder

Just finished it and WOW!!! Props to Murph for this episode for a thousand reasons! I wasn't so sure how I was feeling about Eldermourne but I'm full on board at this point! Great work everyone!! 👌🏻

Courtney F.

Very excited for the ep!

Nicole Jordan

I don’t know where else to comment this but apparently Eric Andre had ranch chugging contests at his shows for a t shirt so chugging ranch in Buffalo wouldn’t be that crazy

Nicole Jordan

Absolutely positively my favorite episode so far of this campaign, can’t wait to see how this goes, love you goons!

Michael Singer

You can do it with advantage - because of the spoon. Already a favourite line!

Jennifer Maull

Well, You know what they say, the early Elder gets the Mourne!

Taylor Bullman

When the combat music crept in while Zirk accidentally name-dropped Henry... That got to me.

Nate Zabinski

*sees title* *immediately starts sweating*

Funny enough he lives on Hilda Street

Max Telmer

Damn dude spoilers.... I guess those were like 3 years ago now though 😄

Max Telmer

So does Stanley live on 22 Stanley Street or 22 Stanley Boulevard?

Michael Kessler

Title is too late and the episode is fairly short I'm going into this worried...

Luke Lehman

Just remembered that The Adventure Zone and Critical Role had their first permanent PC deaths in eps 26 and 28 of their 2nd campaigns. How y’all feeling’ about episode 27?

HalfLighter

I can't listen to this till tomorrow (damn work!!) But have just read the musical track titles and I'm edging myself!! 🤣🤣

Haven’t started it but “Too late”… that’s ominous👀

I really thought “Too Late” was an ominous warning that Murph was still editing the episode

Mason McCauley

Go to dang bed dude!

Eddie V

Wow, I've never been this early for an episode drop before

The Great Zarquon
