For the honor council kind of thing I served on my towns youth court where we held a whole court and judged kids who had committed actual crimes, mostly misdemeanors, such as theft, petty assault, vandalism, etc. And we weren't deciding if they were innocent or guilty we decided their punishment. Which was often like 20 hrs of community service, anger management counseling, family counseling, drug counseling, letters of apology etc. And if they completed it their record would be expunged. It was absolutely wild the power they put in our hands because we were also allowed to give them no punishment if we chose and their records would still be expunged.

The Mighty Nein is a cool name, but it's origins are probably just as silly. First off, they are a group of 7 people not 9, they just kept rolling so many 9s and since one character has a german accent they would all shout NEIN when someone rolled it.

As an Artificer Aficionado, Murph, listen.....and look at me when I'm typing to you......don't you dare deny my baby boy the absolutely legal and official ability to put a fireball spell into anything that has one of his infusions into it, especially now there might be better options with Tasha's Cauldron of everything buffing Artificers. *smooch* much love.

Clearly the key to get a silly joke name past Murph is to put it at least partially in another language. Mighty Nein is Big No and/or a reason for every NPC to be confused about them not having nine members. Vox Machina is just a Latin joke about the players being voice actors (to say nothing of the fact that they were the SHITs originally).

I always listen to podcasts while during chores, and this one is my favorite to do chores too! I don't listen to podcasts while digging though because I mostly garden at night so that people from my apartment complex don't get uppity with me, so listening to a podcast isn't very conducive to stealth gardening missions.

Interesting tidbit, most depictions of Jackelope's are actually more like 'RabiDeers' (Rabbits with deer antlers). Jackrabbits, or Hares, tend to have longer faces, longer back legs, and taller ears and Antelope horns are spiraling cones. Not overly important, obviously, but I think 'Jackelopes' are more impressive looking mythical animals than 'Rabideers'. Confusingly there is an animal called a Antelope Jackrabbit that DOES exist. SO HEY MURPH, which do you imagine the sigil of the Petty King is?
