Same. I was listening to Cake Radio on Pandora and an ad for naddpod came on and I started listening right then. Fell in love with every character, including our direct messenger, as soon as they started talking about Dragon pussy. Started to dm a month later and haven't looked back. I rely on Murph and Brennan Lee Mulligan for all my ideas. Also if you people aren't watching dimension 20 on dropout you are missing Murph and Emily in some of the best role playing you will ever see. The entire cast is great. Apple and Mavis(sp) are both regulars. Do yourselves a favor and watch.

For me another one of the biggest displays of Hardwon’s growth is when the frost dwarves say “who is this guy?” At the beginning of the podcast I feel like Hardwon would respond something like “Hardwon Surefoot, Pride of Iron Deep... etc. etc.” but in the episode he simply responds “I’m just a summer dwarf”

Pathfinder has a class that’s a basically a multi-class of barbarian and sorcerer called a bloodrager. It let’s you cast spells while in a rage but you just take penalties that get lessened as you level up. I haven’t played much 5e but the ability is called rage casting and it might be a feat in 5e.

She flew off leaving the almost dead Balnor/Hardwon/Cooter to soak the Tarrasque's attacks, instead of helping them tank it.

I think it'd be really cool if, once the whole campaign is done, there was a look at the story you've told here, what sort of messages and lessons it's speaking to, and what you'll each wall away with from having lived it.

I've also seen it where you roll 6 d20s, drop the lowest and then assign the stats the way you want them for your character. That way you don't end up with a fighter that randomly has a +3 to intelligence and a -2 to strength.
