Murph we all know its going to happen, just fill us in on the details of how Tonathan Tinkle is going to swoop in at the last second to save the boobs. I'm imagining its a somber scene: the Tarrasque finally knocks all of our heroes unconscious after a long battle. Mavris takes the final blow after bravely defending the city from atop the wall, Hardwon and Bev lie unconscious in the cold snow together after Hardwon shielded young Bev from the Tarrasque like a father, Moonshine has one foot into an afterlife of paradise with Pawpaw in her arms having done everything she could to protect the innocent, and Apple Scrumper is perched up against a rock coughing up blood refusing to die in a rage but unable to move due to her wounds. The city's walls are starting to collapse from repeated Frost Giant barrages and Tarrasque charges. Somewhere far away Akarot's laughing maniacally. Thats when Apple Scrumper sees it come into view.... An enormous flying contraption with some sort of claw hanging underneath. The contraption flies in closer and it reads in giant letters "SS Scooper". Tonathan Tinkle nervously approaches on his home made airship and flies overhead the Tarrasque, lowering the claw and scoops it. Moonshine feels a warming sensation in her heart. Tonathon knows what he must do, he opens a planar portal into Pandemonium and drops the Tarrasque where he knows it can do no harm. We think all is saved, but thats when we see another gnome climb out of the planar gate as the SS Scooper comes back through. Its a small gnome with a variable height between 2'9 and 3'9, gold teeth, a vest, and is balding. What have you done Tonathan? You rid the world of the Tarrasque but at what cost? A great evil only rivaled by Orcus, the Demogorgon, or Asmodeus lives once more, Yugo has returned to the Material Plane.

How does this instance of the cursed d20 manifest itself in-game/role play? It’s seems like luck points are often dealt with outside of role play, but will you somehow incorporate that the previous trip to Hell was in some way responsible for the way the episode ended? You all wound up fighting Jubilex the faceless, Fraz Urb'luu the prince of deception, and an invincible Tarrasque on the material plane. You also prevented three gods from crossing over. Based on the descriptions I'm guessing these gods were Yeenoghu, a giant gnoll demon known as the "Lord of Savagery" who's hunger cannot be slaked. Demogorgon, the prince of all demons, who's touch can wither flesh. And Tiamat, the five-headed queen of all chromatic dragons. For all: it felt as though, probably due to editing, you all were set in going back to Frostwind. First, was there any desire to go either as a group or solo to a different location to fight a different husk God? Second, possibly metagaming, listening to the different God husks descriptions and monster difficulty wouldn't going to Irondeep been the better match-up for the boobs? It would have also given Hardwon a chance to get the last King's Hammer and with Hero's feast y'all are resistant to poison damage had a better chance against the Jubilex?

Did any of the Boobs' decisions this episode surprise you, Murph? I think what mainly comes to mind for me is Moonshine wanting to use the Thinking Cap, but with Mavrus's reappearance back in the campaign, I'm not sure now if that was premeditated or not.

In war not everyone makes it out. Hard choices need to be made (Like the Allies letting some ships be sunk to keep the secret that they had broken NAZI codes). If one of the free cities had to fall to save the others, which would the BoB let fall and why?

I personally loved where you cut the session this week Murph! How do you decide an appropriate place to stop as DM?

How much did Murph have to cut out of the battle scene as the characters were stumped by the magic shield? At first the team seemed tentative, as I know I was listening.

As the campaign comes to a close, has the band of boobs felt that their characters achieved the original reason for adventuring? Ex. Moonshine to collect a spore bank, Bev collecting badges. If not, How do you guys flow so easily with these changes? Love the show

For Murph: how did you plan out (if at all) the cliffhanger at the end of the episode? I know it’s impossible to predict that Bev would be right on death’s door, but were you trying to engineer a super dramatic moment or did it just happen naturally and you seized on the opportunity as it arose? Asking cause I’m in awe of how freaking awesome and compelling that particular moment was.

How do you balance combat? I either have to pull my punches because they will die or my players whomp me easily? I want challenging but bearable

Was the intention always to have the Boobs fight the Tarrasque or were there situations for every choice ready? It seemed like the NPCs were prepared to go to the other monsters, but I’m curious as to if you had plans for them for each choice. Also, had any of you heard of the Tarrasque before? It’s a pretty famously difficult monster, so was anyone excited to fight it?

Do any of you read the Discworld book series? If not I highly recommend them. But I noticed a superficial overlap between Hardwon and a character call Carrot in Guards Guards. Carrot was raised by Dwarves, fell in love with a bearded Dwarven women and was tall even for a human. But Carrot doesn't realize that he isn't a Dwarf and has loving adoptive parents, unlike Hardwon. Also Carrot has taken the Lawful aspect of th Dwarves to heart and did not want to set out on adventure like Hardwon.

Bev could fight the slime because he’s is immune to disease and Balnor immune to poison assuming he is a stout halfing. Apple and Moonshine helping with the Dino thanks to her acid spores. And Hardwon and Mav would be a great team against the gorgon, with counter spell and flying pass the army of orcs.
