Ep. 61: Gutless (The Shadowfell Saga with Brennan Lee Mulligan)

I'm still catching up on episodes, so I've been listening to the Shadowfell saga a little later than everyone, but the comments on here are just wild. It's so crazy to me that you can complain about a FREE SHOW made by real people who are mostly improvising in the moment. They don't have to do anything just because you want them to, or even because you give them $50/month. I think every single one of the members of the podcast gives it their all, especially Murph, and criticizing him/Emily/Brennan for things they did/didn't do is ridiculous. Especially for making crass jokes (I mean, come on, you knew what you were getting into if you know anything about the cast, or even if you've just listened to the dozens of episodes up until this point). They're playing a game, folks. As much as we love the characters, they're not real, so let's not be rude to the actual people who portray them and who have actual feelings. I almost hope they don't read the comments for their own sake. But if for whatever reason they are -- thank you all!

Bev has killed people, drank alcohol, I'm pretty sure he smoked at one point, has made references to some potentially kinky fetishes, collected body parts, slept in a dead body, been crippled... But the thought of him being 16 and having sex with Hardwon is too much...? This podcast literally started with Dragon dick and pussy talk... I just don't get it, that's all.

Honestly I could have done without all the references to Bev needing to fuck Hardwon to save themselves? I realize we're all adults here, and that the virgin setup was mainly to razz Hardwon, but Bev is a sixteen year old and so those "jokes" made me pretty uncomfortable during what has otherwise been a rad arc.

Nah dude. The Boobs just really have a way of making encounters much easier or much harder than it needs to be. Usually because they do a goof and end up having to brute force their way outta things. And it makes sense since they don't really have a cunning type in their fixed party to insist on diplomacy or deception. Murph usually responds logically to those shenanigans (and even goes out of his way to make the consequences less heavy at times) tl;dr the boobs just really get served what they dish out

I keep thinking back to different stealth missions the boobs have done, or even just recently with the fight in the tower at the end of the fey wild saga, and thinking that if they happened now then Hardwon would just be stuck outside since he can't enter without invitation
