That's what I had thought, but I could have swore there was an episode where a comment was made while they were playing about how much they loved playing with the music, which suggested to me that it was created beforehand and played while they played

I don’t think she composes music in advance of a specific episode but after

^i would think that she probably makes the music after the fact and they splice it in during post. That way there's no reveals. Plus then she can draw on what her actual feelings were during the session and use that to inspire the music.
