2024-08-12 21:51:51 +0000 UTCI think ultimately the mistake they made with this movie is kinda like if they started the Lord of the Rings movies at The Silmarilion because it's the events of the first game retold and the story isn't really that nuanced or the most interesting until Warcraft 3 and after, and these events are 30-40 years ago in World of Warcraft and I think work better as tragic backstory than having to watch a tragedy in motion

2020-06-09 18:02:02 +0000 UTCThis movie is actually based on the book The Last Guardian. It makes more sense if you've read the lore. But it's still not that great of a movie. The book is better. It also introduces thrall as a baby and you find out about his story in the book Lord of the Clans.

I felt the group relied too much on comparing the film to LotR; or the idea that this film should have "conformed" to some standard of a non-existence fantasy guide. I whole hardheartedly disagree with them on their opinion on the visual s of magic in the film. I felt this movie showed magic the best in any other fantasy film. But if anyone else has a another example I would gladly like to hear about it.

Please let it be spelled "New Ork City" and the trailer shows an axe or something flying through the air at a New York city sign and it goes through the "Y", making it disappear.
