Short Rest: Ep. 43: Feeding Time

Comments

Emily suggesting that the worm has innocence and wasn’t intending to spread ruin feels like inspo for the serpents in c3

Libbortea

Waitin for that group dice bath stillllll

Aaron Gibson

ONE BIG BATH! ONE BIG BATH!

Amanda Samperi

I had to keep reminding myself that I knew how it ended. It was definitely that intense!

J. Gro

Dice Bath live stream when

Colin Kilzer

This was the episode where Emily's barbarian druid stopped being what was needed. Her build is so interesting and I think viable! But the party just needed a dedicated spellcaster so badly

Austin Wiggin

8:49 - Just saying, we’re well past 10,000 patrons…

Kevin Stefanowicz

I'm still sad about bastion :( rip best boy

ShibeStars

I've listened to this before but the fight was so tense I was still nervous for most of it like, wait, do they die here and I forgot???

Tiril

C3 spoilers: With the aureox ancestry Callie could rock a bubble giant susanoo thing

Nathaniel Levy

I really wanted everyone to hop in the Bag of Holding and have Beverly carry them all across the bridge with his fancy boots.

Kate Davis

Hey dont forget about pawpaw too

Dion Drummond

Just gotta say this is my 4th time listening from beginning to end of all of NADDPOD. Helps keep my sanity at work

Chris Dannatt

I literally joined this Patreon just now, after having started NADDPOD from the beginning a few weeks ago and getting to this episode, because I was literally screaming in my car over those rolls at the end and needed to listen to this Short Rest immediately.

Jeff B

If Murph is using glaives as they exist in 5e then they're polearms with blades attached to both ends. Not a major deal, but not a rusty sword as he keeps describing them. My character uses them and they can be pretty bad ass. They could have made the difference in a close quarters fight like this since they can get a second attack with the other smaller blade on the end, depending on how Murph set up the weapon attacks of the gnolls.

meeemster

I swear, they do him so dirty.

meeemster

I would have liked to know how Bastion escaped the worm. Was it just because he's gross?

SecondBreakfast

Just wanted to say spiders don't have a thorax like insects, they have a cephalothorax (head + thorax) so Bev couldn't have hit ghost legs in the thorax. This really bothered me, I had to say something.

Ben Davis

I just want to point out the poetry of it. Bastion the Survivor was ordered to be killed by head gnoll; who was attacked and became the new Survivor. then imminently was killed by Moonshine were she was eaten and saved making her the Ultimate Survivor

Selena Privet

Normally the Balnor jokes make me laugh but I just went through a nasty break up with a girl I really cared about that turns out was just using me so tonight they just made me sad

Michael K Merkle

Bastion is my favourite NPC so far, Murph’s voice and his antics were hilarious. When Moonshine got snared by the spider, how Bastion said, “ She’s dead. That’s Ghost-legs.” I was laughing soo hard!

Roland Labreche

“Mushrooms are nature’s butt plugs” I love the Caldwell gems.

Em

I would absolutely pay to watch a cartoon about the band of boobs!

Eliza P Wolfe

Hell yeah! Thank you! Good to know the Riders of Rowan still ride. - Murph

Not Another D&D Podcast

Though they may forget, we shall not. Stories shall be told of the great Balnor, defender of the bags!

Connor Proudfoot

"Does this episode end with the three of us freeze frame jumping?" Such a shame that they forget Balnor so quickly

Alex Harb

Typo?

Alex Harb

This episode was legit a heroic tale and will be part of the legend of the band of boobs. This was when it really clicked for me that they aren't just some basic heroes, this is the stuff of myths.

Eli Brand

Fun fact, hyenas aren't actually dogs. They are their own family of animal, but are actually more closely related to cats than they are dogs.

Ben M

Can we all agree that the most intense Nat 20 roll continues to be ol' Cob popping back up from the brink of death x

Connor McKenzie

So dice don't float unless you put like Epsom salt or salt in some water. That's how I check the balance of my dice that I make. 😂

Devin

Anyone else heard murph and emilys cat meow at 36:10 ? XD

Fredrik Anderzon

Yep this one never showed up for me.

Joe Pow

Anyone else not have this episode show up in their RSS feed?

Cedocore

When your DM tries to kill you haha omg this one was nuts

Justin Harris

I think it’s ‘reeeh’? That’s how I would spell it anyway :)

Mich Blackie

Not gonna lie, half way through the fight I was worried the episode was extra long coz someone died...

Mich Blackie

Anyone else get super on edge when Murph said Balnor prepared an action? I just thought to my self, don't you dare!

Kevin Alman

Such an incredible episode!!!

Robert Mukwaodayin

If Moonshine ain't a thing at the end of this campaign, the shippers. Will. Riot.

Robert Mukwaodayin

great episode and over 2hrs!!!

Loosh from CT

I have a really random question for very important research. How would Murph spell the sound that PawPaw makes? :)

Jes Vanderbeken

THIS EP WAS SO INTENSE HAHA

nat

So intense! Awesome ep this week!

Andrew Duff

Was totally picturing Hardwon pulling an Incredible Hulk during his appearance at the climax of the Avengers, just completely halting its progress for a moment. That Purple Worm now has four holy survivors to sully its reputation!

Eric Burant

Hey Murph! I work for your Alma mater, rowan, in New Jersey. I just got off work closing the student center. Lots of d&d was played by the students tonight. Saw you in the 30 under 30 magazine and put two and two together. Congrats btw! Love the podcast.
