Comments

this has to be one of my favorites

As a mom myself, I could absolutely never do this to my children. That’s insane.

As someone with a missing mom this story struck a nerve.

"she should have gotten a better job, homelessness for her and her children is a reasonable consequence"

A story of the complete lack of social safety net in the United States. She couldn't afford a home for her children, because of her husband's problems and lack of access to a livable wage. Those who argue against social programs might as well be saying she and her children and her husband deserved this .

I am from this area. So crazy to hear one so lose to home!

It's so sad to hear, on the other hand she abandoned her children and brought so much suffering to a lot of people.... but on the other hand I can't image how desperate she must have felt to leave everything behind and also struggling with mental health. And she stayed away for so long...

Reminds me of the Nicola Bully case going on right now here in the UK. She just vanished and police have said she fell in the river but the family disagree. The father had to tell their daughters that their mother is ‘lost’ - it’s so sad. It’s a very strange case and it’s literally happening right now.

Still private!

It's marked as private you guys! 💗
