This happened where I lived as a child. I I was in Leicester and Enderby and narborough are on the outskirts of the city. I was 3 years younger than the girls and remember dawns murder vividly. My mum never, ever allowed me to walk anywhere alone at night. I’m grateful for that and I had a great dad who would always drop me off and pick me up from anywhere I needed to be. Colin Pitchfork is infamous in Leicester. As a result of this my daughters never walked anywhere alone at night either. Better to be safe than sorry

2022-12-05 21:45:16 +0000 UTCThanks for a great story from the UK. I had a vague knowledge that DNA profiling in criminal cases was developed there but never heard the whole story. You put it into context very well. And even though the case didn't take place in Scotland, your mention of it took me back to that beautiful country. Been there 3 times but can't wait to go again. Also, if you like listening to true crime as much as you like talking about it, I just found this and thought I'd share it: https://scottishmurders.com/
