125. The Clown-Demic

I was in my first year of college when the clowns became a big deal. I was going to Utah State. I remember seeing one while walking home alone in the dark. I was booking it to my apartment. I was terrified. Another clown on our campus was breaking into girls apartment windows and going inside their apartments. I don’t think anyone was hurt, and I do think he was caught. I hated the clowndemic.

I was in school in Austin texas, and our school went on lockdown because of an anonymous clown threat. I remember being scared and hiding in the classroom. Nothing happened but it was a scary situation.

I’m from a town of roughly 500 people in Nova Scotia, Canada, and even the Clown-Demic (love that term ahaha) reached us! We had teenagers standing on the sides of our roads with bats and hatchets just staring at you as you drove by, and there were even a couple break-ins and armed robberies by clowns. I am definitely coulrophobic, so it’s needless to say I was terrified to leave my house during that time lol it’s so wild to think about now!!!
