I graduated in December 2021 with a bachelors in Forensic Science, and this is 100% a homicide. There is zero chance that she died by hanging because of the lividity on her back. If she had any lividity on her back, that concludes that she was laying on her back for some time after dying. Lividity works by blood pooling from gravity. If she died by hanging, the blood would have pooled at her feet, not her back. This is so frustrating that even with experienced detectives and medical examiners, this case is still undetermined.
