wow this story was crazy….

Katie ❤️ Guuuurl

I think he dad was in the cult! I can’t see somebody stabbing their child I think he kid his wife and the others killed the kid’s!

I lived on fort bragg and they tore down the house because no body wanted to live in it I used to deliver dominos on that road whwhich how I found out about it

Active Duty Military here, I know I'm late listening to this but there's definitely stories about people's switch just flips. There was a Major at Ft Hood who was a psychiatrist and converted to a different religion (I believe) and something in him snapped, and he proceeded to on a shooting rampage killing others on base

I wonder if he had asked the lady and cult group to be loudly present outside, and to help create a second story, inconsistently confess and confuse everything in order to bring doubt to his case..knowing there would not be evidence to convict them?

The lady who confessed was probably know on this base to be mentally I’ll and under the influence, so she probably told police what they wanted to hear

At no point did I know where this story was headed. Damn.

One more thing; there have also been a couple of soliders murdered here since we have been here. The most recent was a good kid doing a car purchase, and if I am correct the killer was also a soldier. We are in Fort Drum

I am an active duty military spouse ( army), and yes there police and set of rules are all through the military legal system called UCMJ ( that is probably for all branches). I was able to have my husband hunt down a 21 yo unit due to insurance fraud, not only would he be in trouble on the insurance side, but the military will also punish him. It was proven he was guilty.... but anyways, military bases aren't always safe as we would think. A lot of them do have break-ins and theft. Here we do not live on the Army post, but there was another season of break-ins on post recently. It happens a lot more than you would think and the same with theft. Now more than likely outside of a neighborhood that does not happen. When I go to the PX or commissary I leave the car running everything in the seat and it is untouched. 2 years ago people had been breaking in ( still are), and leaving peoples back doors open and animals were getting out of their homes. There also have been sketchy people reported. Not all but some posts allow civilians to live in the rentals they have ( that is something I disagree with unless they are retired, active duty, widowed, or disabled). So that is where some of these things can happen. My dependa rant is over haha!

I think he may have been fighting with the wife and accidentally hit the child since they found brain matter on the door knob and she died instantly so he overkilled stabbing to cover the blow to the head and decided to kill the other witnesses to cover up the original accident. It’s just a possible reason since no criminal activity before

Question while listening-does Garrett know who Charles Manson is?? Just wondering how out of touch he is with true crime 😂 my husband hates true crime and actually does so I’m curious

Is it possible that he was involved with the cult? And that they were careful to not show ties between it? Did any of the police(military or civilian) look into the cult?

I just listened to this and although I do seriously question Jeffery's innocence I also don't think of it was on the jury that I could say he's guilty. The other confessions whether real or made up create reasonable doubt on anyone's guilt in this crime
