It looks like Anubis is haunting Scheherazade to read her story scroll, and proximity is causing the instakill success rate increase, which Shiki has seen and gotten her two instakill Assassin brethren so they can finally feel like they can overpower a Caster. Whether they go through with it or not... that depends on how fast Gudao/Gudako gets there. Right?
