Dev Log 19-May-2023

Hello!

This week, I've focused on static renders for a more complicated scene with quite a few variations and finished it. Testing that will be something, but I'll burn that bridge when I get to it. Apart from that, I found some assets that I'll need and set up a future scene that I'm currently writing.

For next week, I'll need to figure out how to do some blurry/double vision animation for some static renders, plus maybe a darkened vision effect as well if it's not too much. If I need After Effects for that, it'll take some time. Apart from that, more writing and static renders. Hopefully, I can start with a hangout scene I've been planning for a while now.

Today, I'll be off to celebrate a friend's birthday party (Happy Birthday, Alex! I know you'll see this).

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Not a problem. There are some things ATL is good with, and others you might as well do video file. :)

It'll probably have to be an animation as I need the double vision part to expand and contract, while the darkening vision I'd need as a vignette type effect that increases and decreases. The speed would also need to vary as it'll pulse. Thanks for the links, though, they'll be useful later when I actually learn how to use ATL

Hope you have a great time at the party! 🥳🎂

if you need it as a still, doublevision could be done by putting an image over another, and using a blend with the top layer being offset. :)

Blurry or double vision? As someone who experienced double vision, there is distinctive difference. One can be done directly with renpy, the other not so much. :) https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/atl.html#transform-property-blur Also for darkening a version...if you mean by animating, there is: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/matrixcolor.html matrixcolor BrightnessMatrix(floatvalue) for example. :)
