Cuiavian (Polish) folk dress (AF)

I started working on this dress when I had literally one follower and I was sure no one cares what I'm going to create. Now I feel really awkward, as I bet you guys expected more pretty high-society dresses rather than Polish folk nonsense. Oh well. Here it is anyway :P.

If you google "Polish folk dresses" or anything similar, this dress will show only very late, if at all. You'll probably see mostly outfits from regions located around Warsaw or Cracow (I don't know how it is where you come from, but in this crazy country you get a different type of traditional dress every 50-150 km). This one comes from a relatively small region located more or less in the middle of Poland - slightly to the north-west. It matches my story perfectly, as back in 1890s Cuiavia was divided between Prussia and Russia - meaning, all my villagers can wear it, including the ones on the other side of the border :D. And they will be very happy to do it, because until now they had to do with those beautiful Norwegian bunads. Which are beautiful and all, just kind of... Norwegian.

It was one of the first Polish folk outfits to disappear: after the I WW even the most villagy of villagers didn't wear it anymore. It was also, as I learned while doing some research for this project, one of the most expensive ones, as it was made of silk. Only the richest peasants could afford it (so what did the ordinary village people wear? I wonder!). Luckily that won't be a problem in the sunny simworld.

The complete outfit should include also some accessories and a hat or a headpiece; there's also a winter version and, of course, corresponding outifts for men, not to mention other age groups... I'd love to create the whole Cuiavian set, but it would take lots of time and probably interest only a small number of simmers, so I thought it would be a good compromise to keep creating typically 1890sy stuff and folk stuff in turns. It'd be too much to call it a plan, but that's how I currently imagine it. Accessories don't count though! :D (I really really want to make some Slavic-style beading, this outfit feels so incomplete without it).

OK, enough blabbling, here's the important stuff:

- BG compatible
- all LODs
- works for all body types
- tagged as a long dress and with correct colours
- custom thumbnail
- comes in 7 swatches, though they are VERY similar to each other (apparently old-time Cuiavians were crazy about poppies and cornflowers, and didn't condone other colours). I forgot to photograph the last swatch and was too lazy to go back in game only for this, so you can see it only from the back:

- no problems noticed this time - please let me know if you see something's wrong
- and by Jove, PLEASE do recolour it. I feel like this mesh could be a great base for a number of folk outfits. I'll upload my main texture file as well, to make any recolouring easier.

Let me know if you like it and whether you can make any use of it in your own saves! Happy simming to you all :)
