L'Ape Piaggio è un autocarro a tre ruote prodotto dalla Piaggio dal 1948, considerato un vero e proprio simbolo del design italiano nel mondo.Nasce nel 1948, in un'Italia ancora stremata dalla guerra. La carenza di mezzi di trasporto era evidente, ma molti non potevano permettersi l'acquisto di un veicolo a quattro ruote.Piaggio ha avuto l'idea di costruire un veicolo commerciale su tre ruote: un furgone derivato da uno scooter. Il primo modello fu costruito partendo dalla Vespa.Le prime due serie erano quasi una Vespa a due ruote attaccata ad un rimorchio. In alcuni prospetti di vendita e in alcuni mercati era infatti pubblicizzato come VespaCar o TriVespa. Costava 170.000 lire.

- Il modello stradale è un modello Ape 50 TM del 1986  ed è stato modificato da uno cilindrata di 50cc a 130cc.

- Il modello Proto è un modello Ape 50 TM del 1986 ed è stato modificato passando dal motore originale 50cc al motore 600cc di derivazione motociclistica. È particolarmente adatto per l'uso in pista, ma è possibile anche su terreni irregolari come su strade sterrate.
