Progress Report
Added 2021-04-27 19:38:21 +0000 UTCOof, another week has gone by. Is it just me, or do the weeks pass quicker and quicker when you work from home?
Anyway, I have finished up the renders for Callie's first scene in this update. I'm currently writing and implementing it. I don't foresee any significant problems in that regard, so it shouldn't take too long to wrap this scene up. This was one of the most complicated animations I have ever made. Because of the poses involved, finding good camera angles was almost impossible. But I wanted to make this scene, and I think I've made it work, warts and all.
Going public with the nature of my next game project took some time this week as well. Lots and lots of questions to answer, and the post itself took a lot of effort to assemble. I'm glad that the responses seem to have been mostly very positive, so that's good. It will be fun to share more about the project as the year moves on, especially as we begin to figure out what the actual setting and story will be. Exciting times!
So, that's that for this week. Callie is telling me to get back to work.

2021-04-28 01:47:54 +0000 UTCI think it comes down to harm. If someone changed your or my sexuality and we were none the wiser, but still found happiness, then would it matter? Perhaps not. I think the ability to make unethical decisions is an essential part of freedom. I person cannot be ethical if they are never given a chance to be unethical. So many modern video games leave everything as a choice between two "good guy" options, which is honestly dull. The Callie choice really makes you think, and that's why it's important to have it in the game, imo.

2021-04-27 22:05:41 +0000 UTCChanging Callie was a interesting ethical dilemma. It was the eternal struggle between doing the right thing vs mind bending lust. However if I remember correctly the spells would not make anyone do anything they were not inclined to do deep in their heart. So was Callie bi? Was it that, if she was straight, she would have pursued the NPC??
