Progress Report

So, I've been writing for the past week. Exciting stuff, I know. I wish I could tell you what I've been writing for the game, but you know... I'd have to kill you.

Honestly, though, this game's writing process has rarely felt as much like wading through a quagmire than it does right now. It's a combination of the dramatic subject matter and the weight of all the story leading to this point that does me in, I think. Whenever I sit down and write, it drains me very quickly. As a result, everything except renders feels like it's been slower and more challenging to do this update than ever before. On the plus side, I doubt things will ever get this bad again, but it's a struggle for sure.

Will I be able to get this update out before the end of September? I'd love to, and it's certainly possible, but at this point, I'm beginning to doubt it. I'll keep trying, though. The pieces are definitely beginning to fall into place, and the light at the end of the tunnel is very near. And yet, I still have all this writing to trudge through.

I can't wait to just make a bunch of sex scenes in a row in a few updates.

Until next week!

Nah, I don't think a break is the answer. I just need to push through this tricky part and things will become much easier.

Take your time. Maybe you need a few weeks break?

Scrattys

It'll be good to get these chunky updates out of the way so I can make smaller, less serious ones again. Lots of future content can be more easily portioned off into smaller updates.

You have posted an update every month (or almost) for years, the other patreon i'm signed up to do something like 4 every year. I'd say you've got the trust capital to skip a few updates because you're working on something big.

Schietwetter

Belle, we understand, and are happy to be patient. Your normal rate of progress is astonishing, and we're at a very emotionally and (especially assuming *spoilers* the protagonist needs to push events down a different leg of the Trousers of Time) intellectually taxing point in the story. Get the correction right and no one--or certainly not me--will complain. (At least unless something awful stays happened to Belle or the Fairy Queen-emerita fades out of the world before we can see, among other things, her again.)
