Progress Report

I'm melting! Seriously, the weather has been too hot and humid lately. It makes it harder than usual to concentrate. 

Anyway, enough excuses! What have I been doing for the past week? I've mostly been focusing on writing the opening portions of the update. This is one of the parts that branches the most based on earlier choices, so many of you will have quite different experiences from the moment you start playing version 0.32. In fact, if you've done a really, really bad job of things (most players will likely have to go out of their way for this), you'll run into a bad end at this point. That's right, I've finished writing this game's first bad ending. This ending is so obscure that, once the game is more complete, I'm going to add an achievement for finding it. 

The thing that sucks about writing endings at this stage is that the epilogue won't be done for a while, so these endings will be very abrupt. Rest assured, within the next few updates, every single ending will be expanded upon and feature a full epilogue, even the bad endings. I don't want to write the epilogues right away since they would feature spoilers for upcoming content, so I'll be adding them all at once a little later, probably in version 0.34. 

Anyway, apart from that ending, the events I'm currently writing aren't exactly exciting. They represent the final bit of groundwork before the main event kicks off. I'm looking forward to getting this out of the way so that I can really sink my teeth into the drama (and the sex). The first of these dramatic scenes is entirely possible to miss, but that's part of what makes it fun. Most of you are probably going to see it the first time through the game. 

All right, back to writing (and sweating). This thing won't write itself.
