I have always loved this song. It completely enchanted me back when the orignal Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer dropped some 15 years ago, remember that? Apparently it's actually only called "Somnus". Nobody really knows why the title "Somnus Nemoris" - a faux Latin combo roughly translating to "Sleep of the Woods" - caught on. Back in 2011 I covered this track in a mashup with Ventus' & Roxas' Theme from Kingdom Hearts, arranged by the amazing Verdegrand. For this arrangement I started from scratch and aimed to deliver the most powerful and emotional version of this song, while staying true to the original.
