Armor (Breastplate, Half-Plate, Or Plate), Very Rare (Requires Attunement)
Steel that pulses with ferocity, goading its wearer into glorious violence. You have a +1 bonus to your AC while wearing this armor.
Wolf’s Frenzy. As a bonus action while wearing this armor, you can speak a command word to fill you with powerful rage. For 10 minutes, you no longer gain a +1 bonus to AC, but you gain the following benefits:
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Strength.
The first time each turn you hit a creature with a melee attack, the target must make a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone (DC = 8 + Strength Modifier + PB).
Your jump distance is tripled.
This property ends early if you fall unconscious or die. Once you use this property, it can’t be used again until you finish a long rest.
Curse: Bloodlust. When you use the Wolf’s Frenzy property, the curse of this item extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you can’t doff it unless you are targeted by a Remove Curse spell or similar magic.
While you are bloodied, the first time each turn that another creature damages you while you are under the effects of the Wolf’s Frenzy property, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or go berserk. This berserk state ends when the Wolf’s Frenzy property ends or when you start your turn and there are no creatures within 60 feet of you that you can see or hear.
While berserk, you regard the creature nearest to you that you can see or hear as your enemy. If there are multiple possible creatures, choose one at random. On each of your turns, you must move as close to the creature as possible and make a melee attack against it, targeting the creature. If you’re unable to get close enough to the creature to make a melee attack against it, your turn ends after you’ve used up all your available movement. If the creature dies or can no longer be seen or heard by you, the next nearest creature that you can see or hear becomes your new target.
The whispered howls came erratically, echoing within the warrior's mind as his companions rested by the crackling fire. The metal plates clung tight to his body, hugging his muscles swollen with rippling strength. As the flame began to die, the warrior could feel his sanity slipping into darkness alongside it.
