Weapon (shortsword), rare (requires attunement)
A rounded blade with a hole through its center from which bubbles occasionally drift.
Pop. As a bonus action, you can cause a large bubble to form from this weapon. The next target you hit with it in the next minute takes an additional 2d6 Thunder damage and must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failure, the target is knocked 10 feet away from you.
Grand Bubble. As an action, you can conjure a bubble around a medium or smaller creature or object within 20 feet of you that lasts for 10 minutes. An unwilling creature must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or be enclosed for the duration.
The bubble has AC 10 and 5 hit points, and it has immunity to Poison and Psychic damage. The bubble remains for the duration, and can hold up to 300 pounds. If more weight is placed on it, or the bubble takes any damage, it bursts. If the bubble bursts, the creature or object inside the bubble takes 5d8 thunder damage and falls to the ground.
For the duration, you can move it up to 30 feet in any direction as a bonus action. If the bubble moves more than 100 feet from you, it bursts. At the end of the duration, the bubble disappears, causing no damage to the creature or object inside. You can choose to have the bubble disappear before the end of the duration as a bonus action.
Once you use this property, it cannot be used again until you finish a short or long rest.
Chardin started small, producing clouds of suds and foam to the delight of the carnival attendees. But over time, his crowds began to thin as the local populace was no longer dazzled by his bubbly artistry. He needed more. He needed new. He needed BIGGER.
