Yeah, I think viewing others' perception of their culture is definitely a part of it. In particular this drove popularity of the recent Japanese Meme Map video, there was a Japanese tweet showing my translation of the ultimate virgin guy that kinda went viral

Even a staunch partisan communist/socialist individual in a western country, like the U.S., will praise the success of art of any media whether the success was culturally and socially and or financially even. The only exception is people like Mr. Rogers or Mr. Beast especially because they are presented as being TOO NICE that it feels suspicious which may or may not be reasonable.

I know it's done a lot on YouTube stories with games like Subway Surfer, since a lot of people have short attention spans. Anyway, just my opinion. I understand it's just a short Patreon video.
