In the very rough spirit of my trying to figure out what to do for luggage with Everfree Northwest (because there's still four days left on the Ko-Fi drive), there's a lot to unpack.
This chapter isn't the last -- but it probably represents the final source of ultra-terror for the writer within the story. I had to pull back the curtain, just a little. And I had to do so knowing that there are so many who are reading this story and no other, who will never see anything else about any aspect of this -- and that I had to find a way of making it work for both them and those who've been here from the start.
It was a balancing act. How much to say, along with what had to be said and when to stop. But it was a chapter I had to get through in order to approach the end, and we're 7100 words closer to the finish line. I just don't get to find out if it worked until the comments come in.
Right now, I think we're -- two chapters away from the finish line. One regular, one possibly-mega.
Make an ending.
