This is what I have notes for…
(I keep waiting for the backlash. Or more backlash. There may have been some backlash. It’s hard to tell and I’m not exactly in a good emotional place anyway.)
I was able to find the needed hours today, because yesterday was spent on hold. And when I say that, I mean that I spent about nine hours waiting for someone to answer a phone. Most of that was with Social Security, and the system kept dropping the calls — every three hours or so. We finally got through at about forty-five minutes before they closed.
But at least we got through.
I’ve managed to schedule a departure date, with flight tentatively booked. This will be March 4th, in the late afternoon. (I’ll likely blog about this soon.) Also, my one piece of luggage is about three inches outside the free carry-on size. Hello, $30 fee! It’s been so long since I’ve last loathed you!
But today, I found the hours for a chapter. I have to do so once more before midnight on the 28th. 7300 words now, and I feel like the next segment will be a little shorter — but I do know what it has to be.
And it has to be on this story.
Feel free to yell at me. I’ve yelled at me. You’ll just be part of the chorus.
