And so it's almost been a year (August 2022 Report)

Around August 22nd last year is when Fishing Season Traversal had sunk. I had disagreed with Game Maker Studio 2's new policy to become subscription-based. To be honest, I don't know what happened to that platform ever since. I don't know what became of its policies, if it's become encroachingly most hostile about getting people to subscribe, or if it was just left at that. All I knew is that I felt the need to start over, not relying on something that could just let me down at the drop of a hat.

One year later, development is ever so slowly progressing as I learn C++. It's rough. There's a lot of road blocks. A lot of walls to tear down. A lot of frustration at things that I struggled to understand. But I'm learnin'. I'm getting better at it. I'm learning to figure out how to structure my program, how to accomplish things like collisions and resource management. And one of the most consistently satisfying things I've ever worked on in my life.

Who knows where the project will be at next year?

Anyways.

Art in July!

oh ho ho look at this silly artist saying that they won't have any art to show next month and then proceeding to art during said next month.

Floating through the Cloud Passage

... and then I ended up making something that I would consider my best art yet, to boot.

Reese

Riley and Amora

Daisy cooling off on a water balloon.

I'm surprised honestly. I think I improved a lot all of a sudden. And it feels really nice.

I don't really have much else to say about all this.

Plans for August!

I'm bad at making plans and promises, y'all'll just have to be surprised.

Oh and btw

Changing the anchor day from Monday to Friday. This will affect Patreon doodles (you'll likely be getting them on a Saturday) and reports (they will henceforth happen on a friday). This works out better for me!

That is all. Next report is September 2nd! For realsies!

Thank you all for your support!!
