Now, I really like what you did with the duardins and especially Marder (coughKardumcough). Their race can be incredibly greedy to the point of absurd, their avidity for more can push them to do terrible mistakes, and their grudges can carry an irrational hatred that would have been better forgotten. But there is also a noblesse in them, a true potential for good that could benefit the imperium for the better. Marder illustrate that in how he decided to care for those under him rather than falling for greed. I hope to see more of him, perhaps somethig like : " Seul les poilus sont importants. L'or n'est qu'un outil, il n'a pas d'âme, il ne produit rien. Il n'est que le résultat de la réussite et non la réussite en elle-même."

The hard part will be picking and dealing with politics. More surprised that we not gotten a inquisition snapshot were they start digging into how the MM rines existed. After all Mars and basically all parties should be screaming for answers.
