Weaver Option Update 20 December 2020

This is how far I've progressed until now on Ovation 9.3 Return to Wuhan. Obviously, it's not beta-ed yet, and there might be some changes if I'm not satisfied with a POV or so.  I would say it's...between 20 and 25% of the work done? I'm afraid I'm still not good at estimating how many words it's going to take me to finish a chapter.

Oh well. If you're all kind and charming, dear readers, the next one will be for the 24th (along with The odds were never in my favour monthly update).

Enjoy!

Well it's been a thousand years (grin). Marianne Gutenberg hasn't followed Taylor to Wuhan...yet. It isn't that long a travel if you have a Warp-capable starship (and an elite Navigator helps too). I would be a bit more careful, I would more say that the Mechanicus is extremely influential wherever technology into the economy is at stake. And even they aren't everywhere. There are still over two hundred billion men, women, and children who aren't members of the Mechanicus and many don't see a single cogboy in their every day's life.

Yeah seen it. Frankly I'm not sure I will ever use them, nor would that it have an happy ending in the case I did. The Imperium shoots first in general when members of the 16th Legion are found. Their reputation makes the Alpha Legion models of popularity...

An interesting set of points of view, some of them I hadn’t thought about . On a different note I put a post out on the WO thread yesterday #7954 I don’t know much but it might point you in a interesting direction in relation to the 16th legion.

Thanks for the update! I suspect that the fact that a thousand years from now an Inquisitor refers to the Ymga Monolith in the past tense is a significant hint about the future of the story. I was surprised that Ms. Gutenberg didn't follow Taylor to Wahun but when I thought about it it makes a lot of sense. Her principle interest is economic policy and right now the Nyx Mechanicus is setting Taylor's economic policy. Influencing them is easier then influencing Taylor so her staying to work on them makes sense.

Parthia Harbour was just the end of her Parthia journey. The rest of it was on diverse ships, may have to develop this before final update...

Antony444

The 'dose' will be to have it on this website, I'm afraid. I have really not the time to finish the chapter, send it to the beta(s), they to correct it, and to update it in time before the 31st...

Merry Christmas in...four-five days!

Antony444

Since Zoe is in Parthia Harbor, on land - how did seasickness become relevant? She got too adventurous?

Lee Shilo

thx for the words as always question do we get a double dose of weaver since it also won at the polls ?

frank schellingerhout

Merry Xmas my dear fellows

No, she hasn't.

Antony444

Thank you, happy winter holidays!

Antony444

Thanks!

Antony444

It is a sleeker cousin of the Xiphon Interceptor, with longer wings, and a far sharper 'nose'

Antony444

Thanks for the teaser, out of curiosity has Taylor managed to turn off her wings yet?

Silver Wolf

Thanks for this, looking forward to reading it.

Dominic

Well, it's getting better and better. Nepherten must really feel like making a face-palm. Dragon is doing dragon things, Mecanicus doing lot of Mecanicus things, building many nice things. Diplomacy doing dimplomatic things, while encouraging further militarisation. And finally Taylor is doing Weaver things... more Penal Legions, more!

Boris Michenski

What does the new plane looks like?
