If I’m incorrect, and feel free to correct me BFB, but I do believe the plant surrounding Alya’s words that have thorns are actually HOLLY PLANTS. Holly is not only thorny but also has the holly berries… and typically symbolize PROTECTION. If I’m right this is SUCH A COOL PARALLEL. Lila just has thorns - her words are just designed to hurt and ensnare people. Meanwhile, the birds of a feather group’s words are a holly thicket - meant to PROTECT Marinette. What INCREDIBLE imagery! Rat, your symbolism, hidden implications, and background art pieces NEVER miss! 👌
