Level 17-1 - Dungeon of the Mad Mage (All Tiers)

Seadeeps. Back to the undermountain we go after a brief departure to space.  Down to Level 17, Seadeeps where the war between the Gith and Mind Flayers is in full force.

This is the first release for Level 17 - Maps A & B - spanning the north section of the level.  This level will be split into 3 releases (A+B, C, D+E) as follows:

Map Notes.  This first release is pretty straightforward in terms of mapping content - mostly some large caverns/battlefields - all the good stuff is tucked away in Map C.  Note there is overlap between Maps B and C where the river passes under the path that leads to Area 4.

Files. I have included both Background "_BG_" and Transparent "_TP_" versions of each of the maps (A and B); background means it has a flat grey image behind the dungeon and transparent means there is nothing there. For the Roll20 versions, this means the background version is a jpg while the transparent version is a png (jpegs don't support transparency); Foundry files are both dd2vtt files.

The zip files below have the Level 17 Maps A and B as well as a DM overlay for each map. Roll20Free is a .jpg < 10MB, Roll20Paid is a .jpg < 20MB and Foundry formats are dd2vtt files. Roll20 maps are at 70 and 140 px per grid cell respectively and the Foundry files are 100 px (this also holds true for the transparent images).

You'll want to grab the Universal Battlemap Importer module. If you need a more detailed walkthrough, this post has more details (scroll down to the Foundry section): https://www.patreon.com/posts/57279651

Hi! I'm a little late to the party. How do I use dd2vtt files in Foundry? I attempted to upload them like any regular old image file but I can see that doesn't quite work.

My dude you are doing the good work, I am in awe of both your dedication and mapmaking skill. Keep up the good work. :)
