Level 12-2 - Dungeon of the Mad Mage (All Tiers)

Maze Level. Fog swirls around over much of the level; who will your party run into first, the minotaurs or the drow?

This release rounds out Level 12 with 3 additional maps (B, C, and D).

Map Notes. The big thing to note is some of the random items found within the level are absent from the maps.  It became clear in area 1, where your players first arrive, that the effect of: "you make your way forward cautiously in the fog, as you move forward your toe strikes something metallic with a thud; you pick up a rusted helmet, head torn from body" is far more suspenseful than "hey what's this helmet thing I can see over here?"

So - all the random items are included as tokens - shield guardian helmet, skeleton, broken lute, trap, treasure.  This allows you to keep them hidden until your players find them.

The curving passageways from 7b to 17d are also included as tokens so you can make the connection when your players move around.

Final note is that area 14 & 15 overlap - so if layering the maps in 1 big composite image expect some overlap there.

Files. I have included both Background "_BG_" and Transparent "_TP_" versions of each of the maps (B, C, and D); background means it has a flat grey image behind the dungeon, transparent means there is nothing there. For the Roll20 versions, this means the background version is a jpg while the transparent version is a png (jpgs don't support transparency); Foundry are both dd2vtt files.

The zip files below have the Level 12 Map B, C, and D as well as a GM overlay for each map. Roll20Free is a .jpg < 5MB, Roll20Paid is a .jpg < 10MB, while Foundry formats are dd2vtt files. Roll20 maps are at 70 and 140 px per grid cell respectively and the Foundry files are 100px (this also holds true for the transparent images).
