Happy Wednesday, my lil scalies!

As always seems to happen these days, one option overtook the others in the sticker theme poll by a landslide. This time the theme "Alligator" won, and as is often the case, I wasn't totally sure what I wanted to do with it.

I never intended to draw an anthro character for the design (apologies if that was implied, never my intention and I hope I didn't disappoint with the final design), but there are only so many ways that a model could be interacting with a gator. In the end, I figured it'd be fun to show a cowboy kinda guy wrangling a gator, keeping it lighthearted and fun. I had ideas around a guy being chomped or swallowed by a gator but it seemed macabre and I have a history of making "stupid hot himbo being put danger by an outside force" artwork and didn't want to retread that territory.

I ultimately colored this one twice. The second version is obviously the one you see above, but below I had something much more muted and with a frankly ineffective highlight on it. I ultimately thought a shadow would be much more appealing here, and I don't regret that decision at all.

You might also notice there are some gator-like details on the boots, but I cut them in the final version because the details were feeling busy to me, and I didn't love the implication that he was wearing gator skin. Like, is he wrangling this alligator so he can make a new pair of boots? Felt wrong to me!
