Silky Soft - WIP

Hello my breezy baes!

I've been wanting to do another original piece, preferably not a remake of an older piece or finishing something I've had sitting around for a long time. I've also been wanting to do something that isn't tied to a season or a holiday. I don't want to spend the next month and change drawing Christmas stuff. I don't even find Christmas to be all that sexy! Yeah, I said it!

I love a knowing glance, big lashes, columns, stars, moons, pretty things. I thought it'd be fun to make a piece with a model caressing some kind of silky fabric. I dunno if the fall of that fabric really works for me yet but this is sorta the first pass of the image. I'd like to give that a little more love and attention with a quick second pass when I'm a little more awake (I'm writing this at half past midnight). The feet look super weird to me, might wanna try something a little different with the hair, etc. But the big eyes...I love the big eyes. They really make me wanna come back to this one.

Life Stuff: My current job ends on Friday and I'm honestly so looking forward to leaving this gig behind. I don't want to go into detail, of course, but I'm experiencing some serious burnout. I'd like to take the next month to focus on making a couple pieces that speak to me (this one included, perhaps). I expect to be busy with a few commissions in the coming weeks leading up to Christmas, but that (and Patreon sticker stuff) aside, I want to reconnect with art. It's felt like such a chore and I largely think that is a gnarly side effect of a particularly rough animation job. I'll miss the money, but I'm excited to reconnect with my art and myself again. That's my hope.

Patreon Housekeeping: The December stickers for the Pinup Sticker Club have been printed, laminated, and cut, and they're GORGEOUS. I need to put together the postcard insert and print and cut those, but that's all pretty easy. Excited to send the stickers out to those of you who are subscribed to that tier! Very proud of how they've been looking lately.
