As much as the creative minds behind the anime medium do probably the best at keeping emotions through week long gaps, it's hard to beat having the ups and downs of a complete arc shown in one sitting. It's also why I am glad they do the ~40min eps during the beginning and end of arcs so that you get a good transition. The only ep I think matches with it is the last of Swordsmith. Like Mugen they just get the timings for everything perfect. I also think that he should watch the last 2/3rds (or 1/2) of Entertainment in one go, even if he releases it in separate posts, since it really feels like a movie after "it" starts.

2024-01-15 01:46:29 +0000 UTCTrue overall, but if you do, I would recommend watching them all at once since the EP version is just the movie cut up, and the pacing and intended emotional responses are made with the expectation that it would be watched in one go (even if you plan to split up the posts).

2024-01-15 00:52:01 +0000 UTCThe TV series "Mugen Train" arc has total 7 episodes. Its episode 1 is an original content and an additional introductory story to the movie version. Episode 2 through episode 7 are same as the content of the movie. (The TV series also adds new OP/ED, BGM, etc.) So, if you watch the TV series (1 to 7) without the movie, you won't be missing anything.
