AOT Rays Of Heaven Ch 16 : Shiganshina Under Attack

[Rays POV]

So there I was, minding my own business in Shigashina, enjoying a peaceful day after many days of hard training, when out of nowhere, the Colossal Titan decided to show up.

My eyes widen like saucers, even after knowing that something like this is gonna happen but still the mere size of that thing left me there stunned like a statue.

The Colossal Titan burst onto the scene like an unholy force of destruction. Towering over the walls, it defied all logic with its sheer size, making the world seem suddenly smaller.

Its body, encased in steam, obscured its features, creating an ominous silhouette against the horizon. The ground trembled beneath its colossal footsteps, echoing the impending chaos.

I would have been embarrassed at my face if others too were not looking like me right now.

I in fact believe that I masked my shock and fear much better than others.

The monstrous entity radiated an unsettling aura, a nightmarish embodiment of terror as it effortlessly breached the once-impenetrable walls. With a thunderous roar, it marked its arrival, leaving onlookers in awe and horror at the colossal nightmare that had descended upon Shigashina.

It didn't take long for all hell to break loose, making everyone panic away.

Titans start flooding in like it was a feast. I came out of my stupor as soon as I could and immediately took Mikasa's and Eren's hands to jolt them out.

"Mikasa, Eren, Armin, come on we gotta get out of here," I shouted and pushed them towards Eren's house.

Or at least that's what I like to think. With the chaos unfolding, It was very hard to move anywhere let alone to a specific location.

"But how, how they break the wall?" Armin sounded sacred and he had every right to be. I grabbed Eren, Mikasa, and Armin by the metaphorical collars and hustled them toward safety. It was like herding cats but with more urgency and way less patience.

We dodged Titans and humans left and right, did a few parkour moves that would've made any action movie star jealous, and finally made it to Eren's house. Why his house? because Carla was still there, Eren's father was out on some business.

So, we finally make it to Eren's place, thinking we've outrun the Titan parade. But guess what? Life has a funny way of proving you wrong. We burst in like superheroes (or at least tried to feel like them), only to find Eren's mom trapped under a pile of debris. Talk about a buzzkill.

We go into full rescue mode, giving it our all to free her, but those chunks of house had other plans. Stubborn pieces of rubble just wouldn't budge. Frustration levels skyrocketed as the clock ticked down, and we couldn't give up – not with a Titan hot on our heels.

As we were pulling and pushing like our lives depended on it (because they do), I saw a titan coming towards us.

My eyes widen like saucers.

Haane arrives at the same time but things where not looking good. He rushes forward to kill the titan but one good glance at the titan makes him stop mid-way.

His body was shaking and then he gritted his teeth and turned around. Coming back to the kids to bring out out of harm's way but....

"Where Is Ray," the older man asked with confusion and urgency.

Even Eren and Mikasa looked around but couldn't find me.

The reason I was not there was because I was moving towards the titan with determined face.
