Honestly I went through the same exact arc with my first long fic, the early chapters are always the easiest but when you get to later ones, it can feel like a jenga tower with more pressure for the new ones. The only thing that helped it get better was time/practice and rethinking my writing style (changing from plotting to pantsing), and it’s still tough even then. I know another writer friend who went through something similar too, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a common issue.
