Story time: "Maria of Swell Tales: Part 1"
Added 2025-05-01 15:00:21 +0000 UTCThe time has finally come. People have been asking for this one for a long long time. Basically since we first introduced Maria as the mascot for Swell Tales over 2 years ago. Time flies.
This is part 1 of 3 in Maria's story! A LOT of work went into these. They're packed with lore and nods and I think some of you might pick up on why things took so long. Part 1 and 2 will follow a different format than you're used to seeing from my stuff. I think it will be a fun switch-up. These are meant to be a story as much about Maria as they are about the Swell Tales library itself, and I really wanted both to shine. They both get to play a big role in this adventure.
One last thing to mention for this first part: there's not really any expansion, and Maria's chest will start out much smaller than you're used to seeing... Please don't let that deter you from reading it. Like I said, this is a story about Maria and the Library, and part of that story is how Maria got that big chest of hers we all know and love. As with all great big things, they must first start small! I promise there is still plenty to get steamed up about in the first part.
