To be honest, I don't even have particularly high hopes for that Animaniacs one to begin with. I know we haven't even seen any material of it yet, the only thing we know about it is that it's happening, but I already doubt it's going to capture the spirit of the source material. Animaniacs was, at least by the standards of a "kids show," all about being edgy and pushing boundaries, (we all saw the "finger Prince" joke) and for some reason that's just not considered "cool" anymore. I don't know why, I can't think of a single good reason that pushing boundaries should ever go out of style. My only theory is that Hollywood finally figured out how to turn fictional characters real and instead of 3D-printing toon babes to make willing (emphasis on "willing") mail-order brides out of them, like somebody who likes money would do, they instead chose to replace ninety percent of their focus groups with every librarian that's ever been in a 90s movie.
I know that has nothing to do with bear dick, but when was I ever gonna get a chance to say that again?
