Honestly it's far more impactful for kuina to die like she did than for someone to have killed her. If someone killed her zoro would be able to put all of that drive into getting revenge but with the way it happened it showed that as a human no matter how powerful and skilled you are no matter how much potential you have ........ a simple accident is enough to kill you leaving zoro with absolutely no way to move forward other than becoming the worlds greatest swordsman in her honor
