Early Access Video: Build the Moravian Stool

This video has been a LONG time coming, but we're very excited to bring it to you. This project is a wonderful skill builder and you don't need a ton of wood. Even yellow pine or poplar would work fine.
We've put in a few tasty Patron Tips for your viewing pleasure. These are just for you.
As usual, the plans will be up Wednesday. They are being finished now.
In other news, I have a serious illness in my family and one of my loved-ones will be having major surgery on Monday. I'll be away in CT for several days; maybe a week or more. In this time, I will be slow to respond to comments and messages and I cannot promise that our next video will be on time. I know everyone is okay with this; I just want you all to know what's going on.
I think everything will be okay, and I'm doing fine.

Hey Rex, if you’re looking for another Patreon tip. In this video, you show putting the sand paper on the table saw top to even out the legs. That is a great tip. Another similar method with the table saw is instead of using the sandpaper, completely recess your blade, then raise it slightly - like 1/32 above the table. Find your high leg and move it back and forth over the slightly exposed blade, similar to how you might clean a through hinge mortise on a box. It’s super quick and the same concept as the sandpaper, but is a little quicker. Cheers

Is it to add more thickness or strength? 2) Would it work to drill the mortise through the dovetailed sections only, not going all the way through the seat? Or wouldn’t the legs fasten properly?
