Covid is no joke!
Added 2022-07-09 11:01:03 +0000 UTCFriends:
I spent the last 2 years being pretty cautious about COVID 19. Turns out that was the right move for me. This virus packs a punch.
I regret that I'm still pretty sick and spending my days on the couch. I know everyone just wants me to get better and I promise that I won't push it. I'll be back to work when I feel better and not a moment before.
If any of you are feeling sick, I hope you'll take as much time as you can to rest and get better. Rushing it doesn't accomplish anything.
I'll post an update next week.
Stay healthy. Stay safe.

Just recovered from covid. 7 days of yuck. Each day was better than the last. Did not have it as bad as most folks. I had all my shoots up to date and still got covid.

2022-07-21 16:49:57 +0000 UTCVitamin D3 is superb for keeping the flu and the cold at bay. And since covid is just a suped up version of the common cold, D3 is like plate steel armor for your immune system. And I've even heard it helps with post covid recovery.

2022-07-11 03:46:50 +0000 UTCIf you start having breathing problems afterward, get checked. My brother had over 30 blood clots in his lungs. He is ok, but this could have killed him.

2022-07-10 15:33:27 +0000 UTCRex, I pray you feel better soon. I had covid and actually didn't get any symptoms other than a cough and sore throat. I am actually in the "High Risk" category as I am older with many pre-existing conditions. The doctor and I were totally surprised that I didn't show any of the serious symptoms. Go figure. Anyway, while you are down, you might as well work on a Covid couch workbench. I' sure you can dream up something to do while you are laid out. God bless and heal fast!

2022-07-10 03:44:19 +0000 UTC3) Those who don't believe in 2) will either eventually come to that viewpoint or are probably wont respond to a well thought out discussion of the situation. To them, 6.5M deaths worldwide is a conspiracy. The fact that we can't keep secrets when more than 5 people are involved doesn't seem to make an impact on them as they believe that hundreds of millions of people worldwide are in on some conspiracy.

2022-07-09 22:50:15 +0000 UTCMate. Feel for you. My wife looked after her mother and daughter the past two weeks, both fully vaxed and both quite suck with it. Her mother was eligible for antiviral treatment and handled it better than the 30 year old paramedic did. Thankfully a lifetime of using infection control techniques paid off and Linda did not get it. I believe you Rex. Aussies had relatively few infections and deaths before borders opened up and zero cases of f for two years. All that’s reversed now.. you get back to posting stuff when you feel better. Nobody here wants you pushing it.

2022-07-09 13:44:05 +0000 UTCHope you’ll have a light case that passes quickly. Mine didn’t feel much worse than a bad cold at the stage you’re at, but it lasted way longer and after about two weeks it changed into a bad cough.

2022-07-09 13:27:28 +0000 UTCI’m trying to get well myself, and while I’m no longer contagious, I cough too much and tire too easily (and cough more if I exert myself) for it to be a good idea for me to be out and about.

2022-07-09 13:24:32 +0000 UTCI'm very sorry to hear it has really taken a toll on you Rex. My aunt and a colleague got it back in February. Both had extended stays in the hospital from it, so I hope you don't have it that badly. Good luck and godspeed my friend.

2022-07-09 12:22:56 +0000 UTCSorry to hear you're sick. Ditto for me - had it last fall and it was a bear. Take as much time as you need and make sure you don't start doing stuff until you really feel up for it. Love your stuff and looking forward to seeing it ... but not until you feel better!

2022-07-09 11:23:24 +0000 UTCRex, I had this crud back in Oct/Nov of 2019, before it was widely known here in the US. Thankfully I didn't get it bad enough to end up in the hospital. But, like the flu, cold, or w/e else I've gotten sick with in the past, I do the same treatment: Zinc Quercetin (helps the Zinc absorb) Vitamins C, D3, and B6 Aspirin (for the aches and pains) And because I'm prone to bacterial infections when sick, I also drink a lemon, honey, cayenne drink, and cinnamon and turmeric based foods (I make an awesome cinnamon spaghetti squash, and I love curries) Cinnemon, Honey and cayenne all have anti-bacterial properties, but not as hard hitting as anti-biotics. It just helps prevent bacterial infections on top of the viral infection. Fresh air and sunlight will do you a world of good. Even just sitting in the back yard for 15-20 minutes will help make you feel a little better. Of course, this isn't medical advice, I'm not a doctor. I'm just passing on what has helped me cope with viral infections in the past. :)
