Also I highly doubt that when homura said she'd take care of sayaka herself she meant killing her or anything (especially in front of madoka as that would only push her to become a magical girl which whatever her reason is homura does not seem to want) also from the fact that homura immediately rushed after sayakas soul gem without hesitation. Of she only wanted her out of the way no matter what she could have just let it happen and who knows if it would have ever found it's way back to sayaka
