amethyst liked hanging out with greg but its also complicated as she seems to feel he took away rose from her who seems to have been like a mother to her so she tried to get that from greg instead even if it took resorting to shapeshifting to rose to get greg to agree

2022-03-26 15:53:22 +0000 UTCOf all the gems I'd say Amethyst is the most comfortable around humans outside of hanging out with Steven. I wouldn't say their past encounter was romantic on either part but I would say that she probably really enjoyed Greg's company. Amethyst is sorta like a kid or a pretty insecure/confused young person and those type of people usually feel good when their in the company of people they feel safe with, doing stuff that's of common interest. She had that in Rose until apparently Rose started dating Greg. When Rose gave up her form that left Amethyst lonely and lost, which is how I guess everybody felt. In my head canon she tried to imitate Rose's relationship with Greg and probably shape shifted into Rose's form a few times to try and please him but it got to be too weird/sad and disrespectful so they pretty much ended the friendship. Those are my thoughts on it anyway.
