So here's a little project again. Apart from Inquisitor, duff and I have been working on several mods that add more behavioral features to magic as well as a potential skill mod, but while we're waiting for testing, and in between fixing ctds. I don't like keeping things dry and I always want to keep myself busy no matter how small as long as it brings a little improvement to the game
these are 2 small behavior mods regarding locomotion, the
1st one is the update of smooth crouch transitions where it also happens when weapons are unsheathed. It works with all crouch/idle/movement animations by the way, just a simple mod that makes the game feel more modern and keep up with the insane graphics and physics mods we've been getting lately. I originally did not intend to add this because I was afraid of users having to go through an unnecessary process before switching states especially in combat, but then again sometimes immersion/mimicking reality at times does have its charms, it also does look consistent with stealth based builds
The 2nd one is progressive sprinting, when you're in sheathed mode(currently did not add weapon locomotion as it may be too clunky in combat) the change from running to sprinting state isn't snappy and instant so you get the feel of gradual acceleration. I tried to base it on the sprint transition from the old Assassin's creed games such as III and Black flag.
The short animation isn't really good yet sorry about that but I did try asking for help from Austio who recently just released his first Trash Animations set and also Mike. I always make behavior mods replaceable anyways so once you see more animators producing some, it's as easy as swapping out the files inside this DAR folder.
so anyways these are simple Nemesis Mods, just install like a regular behavior mod and patch with nemesis. the DAR folder is there so it caches the animation faster.
For Keyboard users, Planning to add a walk to sprint transition as I really like that type of locomotion system based on the Assassin's Creed Games. I still have some things to learn and figure out though. Hope this does add that little extra detail to make the game feel more modern, Enjoy!
